IAED Exhibition Thank You's
20.10.2010
Dear IAED Colleagues and Students,
Now that we are slowly going back to normal lives after the opening, I would like to thank everyone for their contribution for the preparations that took an incredible amount of time and energy especially within the past three-four weeks. I am still hearing wonderful things about our opening night exhibiton for which we worked so diligently and so productively to realize. I worked on each stage with all of you and know first hand that this would not be a success if you had not played a role.
At this point, I would especially like to bring forward certain names that deserve special recognition.

The “apple (picking)” theme aimed to bring together our department color, our sustainable and ecological vision, and give an abstract experience of picking an apple from a tree, as well as stress the significance of working together in a participatory way. The concept also aimed to play with the idea of the sometimes dark and “sinful” side of design. Even so-called fruit-haters picked and ate the apples, which was a great sight.
Thank you also to all who took part in enjoying our exhibition and activities. An opening is not a real one if nobody shows up! It was wonderful to share this unforgettable experience with friends.
I had the chance to work, shop, cut, arrange, hang, glue with everyone at every stage, and the whole process was exhausting but was a success -thanks to all of you. With so many people involved, I hope I am not forgetting anyone. Warm regards to all. I feel proud and privileged to work with such resourceful and productive people from all levels in this department.
Please check our Facebook page for photos and kindly give all photos you might have to remember this night to Şeyda Çobanoğlu (seyda.cobanoglu@hotmail.com) or Çağlar Masat (caglarmasat@gmail.com) and/or upload them on our Facebook page (IAED@ieu).
